TECHNIQUE 6: MOVE IT, MOVE IT
If proper bone removal is accomplished to expose the tooth root then the elevation of the tooth is so much easier than if attempting luxation/elevation in a single rooted or deciduous tooth that we would extract without the aid of a flap. It is important to note the proper technique for placing the luxator/elevator for these instances. The incisor extraction video demonstrates this technique.
For surgical extractions the “luxation” portion is facilitated by the mesial and distal grooves in the bone so that very little “elevation” needs to be done.
